tobacco and now vinegar?!

A few days ago, I read that tobacco may have a useful chemical for preventing cervical cancer.

Now today, I read that vinegar (with cotton gauze and a bright light) can help with early detection of the same, finding more than 75% of cases-- almost twice as good as pap smears. While not particularly important in the developed world where medical treatment is more sophisticated and available, such an interesting technological advance will be quite useful in less-developed countries.

What an interesting world we live in!
