Republicans: most of you will vote for McCain

If you're a Republican who didn't support Ron Paul, you'll vote for McCain-- I think, by definition.

Why didn't you prefer Paul? Your understanding of what's best for national defense and its primary importance among competing issues. (I think you're wrong on the former, but that's a blog entry for another day.)

As such, when faced with McCain vs. Clinton or Obama, you'll choose McCain. Sure, he's a little nutty/off on some semi-important things. But given those choices, it'll be a no-brainer for you.

Is it any more complicated than that? If so, what am I missing?

  1. A non-trivial number will simply sit this one out, I suspect.
