News-Tribune questionaire for 9th District Dems

The (Jeff/NA) News-Tribune ran a questionaire for the primary opponents.

Baron Hill and John Bottorff replied.

Unfortunately, Gretchen Clearwater didn't respond. That's a shame...

Bottorff is a fresh face. Along with me and Gretchen, the three of us are the only candidates in the 9th District who have any passion about ending our efforts in Iraq. I enjoyed meeting him at the Bloomington "anti-war" rally on March 19. If he is unable to pull off the upset, I look forward to working with him as we move toward November.

Hill's answers were the usual stuff. He's an independent voice who is bi-partisan. They've done a lot but there's much more to do. A higher minimum wage, more subsidies for college students, tighter MPG requirements are all sold as great achievements. And he continues to pose as a fiscally responsible member of Congress. Blah, blah, blah...

Two interesting and notable omissions by Hill: nothing about our on-going efforts in Iraq at all and nothing about his avid support for abortion and Planned Parenthood funding.
