Unfortunately, this is how a lot of people think about church and their "offerings" to God. (A "tithe" means/is one-tenth-- and is an OT principle/law [one of many] which serves as a guideline of sorts for giving today. Some people treat is as the standard, but that cannot be sustained biblically.)
