So. IN SE prepares to open on Easter

Some interesting numbers in an article by Ben Zion Hershberg in the C-J this morning...

-1,200 of the 18,000 SE members live in So. IN

-will need about 600 volunteers at its two Sunday services to teach classes, greet people, help with parking, etc.

-a $8.5 million building on a nine-acre site-- will seat 900 on the first floor of the sanctuary and 500 in the balcony

-a 45-foot-tall cross (to be erected soon-- with a prayer gathering that day and open house in late March)

-50,000 Southern Indiana residents are within easy driving distance and aren't affiliated with a church

Of course, the best things that will happen there are difficult to quantify. If you live in the area-- and are not active in a church-- we hope that you'll drop by sometime!

For many people, the reason/excuse not to attend when friends asked them to go to Southeast: it's too far or too big. Well, people in So. IN will soon have those reasons answered-- and those who were using it as an excuse will need a new one soon!
