time for a new Meatloaf song? OR Obama so far (vs. Bush)

On social policy, we knew Obama would be far left-- no surprise there.

On foreign policy, he's similar to the particular version of "the right" represented by Bush (status quo in Iraq vs. close Gitmo and promise of talking with dictators vs. bombs Pakistan already and promises more activity in Afghanistan).

On economics, he's been relatively near "the center" (which stinks!)-- following in Bush's unfortunate footprints and extending/redirecting his massive spending and debt.

Of course, this means I disagree with him on all three.

At least for Bush supporters, he's on board for 1.5 or 2 out of 3. And as Meatloaf taught us, two out of three ain't bad...
