American Hindu-Christianity

An interesting article from Lisa Miller in Newsweek on American religion and its growing implicit Hinduism (hat tip: Chris Lang)...

For a long time, I've seen the divisions between people's religious beliefs (moreso) as:

1.) those who believe they are saved by God's grace or by their own "good" works;

AND

2.) those who see a text or leaders as having significant authority-- vs. those who mostly do their own thing, culturally-influenced and/or cafeteria-style.
