Baron might have a town hall after all...

From Jim Shella's blog...

Protesters confronted Congressman Baron Hill this afternoon as he tried to get into the Lawrenceburg American Legion to honor World War II veterans.

Hill is in the middle of the health care debate and has so far avoided holding a town hall meeting while calling some opponents of reform “political terrorists.”

Hill Press Secretary Katie Moreau says that Hill’s entrance to the building was blocked for a time. Says Moreau, “I honestly never thought it would come to this.”

She says Hill is working on plans for a town hall meeting.

Hoosier Pundit gets off some funny/clever lines, in describing the same event:

So far, their campaign of political terrorism, including a suicide gathering in Madison, has claimed zero lives and maimed and injured absolutely no one...

Then comes this, from Thursday's Courier-Journal:
Hill said the chaos “doesn't serve democracy very well. If they think by stifling town hall meetings that's somehow productive, then they're sadly wrong.”
Let me get this straight. People wanting to show up at a town hall and have their voices heard and get their say is stifling to democracy and somehow unproductive? That's funny, I'd say that refusing to have town halls was stifling to democracy and somehow unproductive.
