Infinity War

Finally saw Infinity War last night. Good enough I guess. The best part for me was seeing the ideology of Thanos critiqued so heavily-- Malthusian, ends-justify-means, utopian, relying on force, etc.The heroes were repeatedly willing to sacrifice themselves for a greater good; Thanos was willing to sacrifice so many others for his preferred (and jacked-up) vision of society.

Of course, Thanos is a cousin or sibling of what you get from harder-core statists, enviros, and military interventionists in the real world. If you find yourself looking to sacrifice others for your vision, please look in the mirror and then cut it out.
