Baron Hill: if you can't be a stand-up politician, you might want to try being a stand-up comic

He keeps claiming to be a "fiscal conservative"...HI-larious!

If politics doesn't work out for him (down the line)...

He's not done so well as a stand-up politician, but perhaps he'd do better as a stand-up comic...

Here are some excerpts from his recent "Baron's Briefing"-- with commentary:

We must do something to jumpstart our economy...

WRONG!

...legislation that will not only create, but also save, jobs.

You'll destroy more than you'll save or create.

...As a fiscal conservative, spending this amount of money is a responsibility I take very seriously.

There he goes again-- not only claiming to be a fiscal conservative, but in the same sentence as telling us that he has a responsibility to spend this money! Aaahhh, you're killing me, Baron! Man, he can sure make my sides hurt!

However, the cost of doing nothing is also very high. Our fragile economy simply cannot withstand double digit unemployment rates, increased inflation and decreased consumer confidence.

OK, and what does this do for unemployment? It certainly encourages inflation. And who knows whether it will enhance consumer confidence or continue to freak people out-- as Bush, Obama and their Congresses have insisted upon doing?

Blah, blah, blah...
