Bob in the house

Former pastor Bob Russell was back in the saddle at Southeast this weekend-- and as usual, he hit it out of the park.

His topic was "Why I Love the Church"-- and focused on the reasons for being in the Church rather than being a "Lone Ranger Christian". He noted that it's easy to focus on the negative things about the church, but that's not a balanced view.

His three big reasons:

-Its Founder-- who loves it and will return for His bride (see: the analogies in I Pet 2:5-6, Eph 5:23, Eph 5:25-27)

-Its People-- who are not perfect, but are generally wonderful.

-Its Positive Influence-- in world history, in America, and what God has done through Southeast.

If you've heard Bob preach, you don't need more encouragement to listen to this one. If you haven't, do yourself a favor.
