Kristen Sauder, track star
A funny editing mistake from the C-J this morning, involving a few of my friends!
On Friday at the Louisville Palace, the city's stars will share their stories and the experiences that got them where they are today. “Louisville Success: An Inspiring Evening” will feature jockey Pat Day; former University of Louisville basketball coach Denny Crum; musician, author and speaker Patrick Henry Hughes; UofL track star Kristen Sauder; WHAS radio's Terry Meiners and more accomplished role models.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $28.50 and $34.50. Purchase them by calling (502) 583-4555 or visit www.louisvillepalace.com, which will direct you to www.livenation.com. The Palace is at 625 S. Fourth St.
Of course, you might be interested in going. But there is some humor in the omission of Bob Russell as a speaker. (Perhaps the grammatically-questionable reference to "more accomplished role models" alludes to him?!)
The funniest part: my good friend's wife, Kristen, is hardly a track star. Quoting Kurt, "she doesn't even like to walk"! They mixed up Wesley Korir with Kristen.
