Tea Party in North Vernon

I attended the Tea Party this afternoon and the Debate this evening in North Vernon.

It was my first Tea Party. There were about 125 people, with a parade of politicians speaking. In terms of t-shirts, the crowd was about 70% Hankins and 15% each for Young and Sodrel.

I'm guessing that the Parties used to be more focused on issues, but are turning into a forum for candidates. The only interesting observation: of the Senate and 9th District House candidates, only Dan Coats didn't plan to attend-- the candidate endorsed by Mike Pence.

As an aside, there were tons of Hankins signs between Seymour and North Vernon-- and then north of North Vernon on Rt. 3. It was easily 10-1 or more (Hankins vs. Sodrel); and there were few if any for Young. Hopefully, signs are a good indication!
