Last night, God doubled down on what was already one of the coolest providences in my life so far. When Brennan had his sudden brain surgery in August 2012 and we got to the final pre-op room, one of his nurses was a former student of mine at IU Southeast. That's cool enough, right? But the crazy part is that she had been an Econ major a decade earlier and then switched careers to nursing. I can't tell you how comforting that providence was in that moment.
So, last night, we're picking up Brennan from the airport on his mission team's return from Cuba. On the same plane? The same lady who we hadn't seen since the hospital.
