pro-life? don't just complain and worry (about the Dems): pray, support and minister (to those in need)!

A wonderful reminder from Chris Snider of the difference between politics (however depressing) and the more important calls to which a Christian should respond:

If you are looking to apply some salve to your aching conscience with respect to abortion, you can sign up to volunteer at one of the nation’s premier examples of a crisis pregnancy center – A Woman’s Choice Resource Center & Necole’s Place. Located in downtown Louisville, we hope to provide such an appealing choice to expecting mothers that abortion will be not much of a choice at all.

Let Yarmuth, Hill and Obama enact laws that give the mother the right to decide if the object in her womb is a baby or not – we want to dry up the demand for abortion by providing a choice that includes a network of loving, Christian people that are ready to address the needs of the mother and child that goes beyond just saving the baby and includes sharing the Gospel, providing life skills and physical resources.

We have saved nearly 4,500 babies over the past 20 years and with your help we could save even more.

Necole’s Place is a place where AWC clients are obtaining life skills – including GED, computer classes and parenting classes.

Of course, we believe the law should be changed and would welcome and support changes to protect the unborn; however, our philosophy is to primarily rely on the power of God working through the hearts of people. And isn’t that what the Church is supposed to do anyway?
