let's crank up abortions for dogs and cats

From Lori Redmon, President/CEO of the Kentucky Humane Society, in a letter to the editor of the C-J...

Each year, endless streams of companion animals find themselves on the doorstep of an animal welfare organization, and every day there are dedicated people working tirelessly to help these homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens find a better life....

It's time that we, as a community, face the hard fact that we have a pet overpopulation crisis. Simply put, there are too many pets and not enough homes. But, together, we can eradicate this problem in three simple ways.

First, spay or neuter your pet...

Second, more people need to choose the "adoption option" when looking to add a pet to their family....

And lastly, we must teach the next generation of pet owners to be responsible through humane education programs....

Sounds good...

Within the article, she describes euthanasia at various types of "pet shelters"-- and wants it to be reduced to zero.

But I wonder whether pro-choicers on abortion for human babies would also avidly embrace abortions for dogs and cats...

The following link is to an article written several years back as a follow-up to a Dateline NBC expose on "fetal lamb farms". In the video footage, the featl lamb is killed and removed from the uterus - its "pelt" harvested to make handbags and coats - about a month prior to end of gestation.
A few excerpts-

...vigorous movement..kicking of the unborn lamb
...no attempt at "humane slaughter" techniques
...the slaughter of these farmed animals is every bit as cruel, grotesque and inexcusable as that of any other fur-bearing animals (outside the womb).

So, fetal lambs are actually baby lambs that deserve rights and protections, but fetal humans are nothing but blobs of disposable tissue...
Sickening
