this AM on Today: three generations graduate from IUS yesterday

Today on Today in the 9:00 hour...check it out!

Also, here's Harold Adams in the C-J with a nice article on the momentous event!

Ranging in age from 20 to 71, the 1,042 students who graduated from Indiana University Southeast yesterday rose to their feet in a standing ovation when Loretta Rife strode across the IUS Amphitheater stage to collect her diploma.

"As you can see, it is never too late to continue your formal education," Chancellor Sandra Patterson Randles said of Rife, who's 71.

She was followed by her 41-year-old daughter Trezenda Moran and Moran's 21-year-old daughter Kristi Goodwin, all three graduating together....

Rife, a general studies major like her daughter and granddaughter, became the oldest recipient of a bachelor's degree at the New Albany school, IUS officials said.
