Indiana extends significant school reform

In a budget bill that had bi-partisan support...

The recent budget largely followed what Gov. Daniels wanted, including a new tax credit for donations to support private school tuition.

It's not as strong as vouchers, but it is unassailable in the courts-- and an incremental step toward reducing the monopoly power of government schools.

Along with limited charter schools, Indiana continues to smoke Kentucky on meaningful school reform.
