academics vs. athletics: UK's Patterson on "Senior Night"

It looks like Patrick Patterson will be "honored" on Senior Day at UK on Sunday. I hope this means that he'll get the full honor due to seniors.

Patterson is a junior but is scheduled to leave for the NBA after this year. It also turns out that he's going to graduate with his degree in May.

I hadn't thought about this before. But in academics, we define "senior" in terms of academic progress (credit hours earned). In athletics, it's defined as the number of years one has played a sport.

PP is a strong leader and a good example. It's interesting to see how active his parents are in his life. I'm sure there's a strong positive correlation coefficient, 90 plus percent, between involved, caring parents as a predictive variable for hard-working, caring children with excellent leadership skills!
