MMM: Michigan Medical Marijuana

I don't know the background on this and how it might pass court challenges related to recent Supreme Court precedent, but Michigan voters chose to allow Medical Marijuana in Amendment 1:

This measure would allow the medical use of marijuana. Use would be limited to registered patients with certain debilitating medical conditions including cancer, glaucoma, HIV, hepatitis C, epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. However, the measure would also allow unregistered patients and primary caregivers to assert medical reasons for using marijuana as a defense to any prosecution involving marijuana.

Expect many "conservatives" to call for more "judicial activism" to deal with this unwelcome advance in freedom.

Given the cutrrent state of Michigan in general (and Detroit in particular)...this might prove hurtful to ALL those dealers that are making an "honest" living...

Wow...even more "jobs" lost in America.

I suppose the Midwest does needs a "Frisco"....tofu, anyone?
